CASE STUDY – PRICEMARK PRODUCT TRAINING
Pricemark is a distributor of sales tools for retailers, including pricing guns and labellers.
Pricemark’s range of pricing guns and labellers require a small degree of maintenance, such as refilling labels, ink rollers, and adjusting print head alignment. Many service calls about their products tended to involve tasks that customers can do themselves if they had the knowledge to do so.
In the past, Pricemark had attempted to create their own videos, and had acquired some equipment to do so. But with 15 products needing coverage, they decided that it was just too time consuming to do in-house, plus they really wanted a more professional result.
WHAT WE DID
Once Pricemark provided me with their conceptual scripts, I helped them to finesse and refine, and create a standard format that would be carried throughout all 15 videos. This allowed us to be highly efficient both for filming and for editing later, saving money for the client.
On the day, we rearranged and lit up the set with soft lighting to make it look as good as possible, and set up 2 cameras so that we had a wider ‘talk to camera’ shot, as well as a sharp closeup to see in detail what is going on.
It was helpful that Daniel (the presenter) knew his products so well that we were able to get through all 15 products in a single day of filming. (Hats off to you Daniel!), and the videos were fully delivered within 2 weeks from the end of filming.
The client was super happy with both the simplicity of the process and the quality of the resulting videos.
