HEATHMONT EAST PRESCHOOL
Heathmont East Preschool is a sessional kindergarten based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, providing early learning education for young children.
The restrictions brought about by COVID-19 have impacted most industries to some degree, and preschools are no exception. While they are still able to provide care and education for the children, open days are not able to be held in the current environment. This makes it all the more challenging for schools to communicate to parents of young children who are now required to make important decisions about their children’s education choices without leaving their home.
They really wanted to showcase the spirit of the school, as well as the enormous outdoor play space which is a key feature of the school.
Being a small local preschool, they needed to find the best way to invest their modest marketing budget to ensure the future enrolment pipeline is adequately filled.
WHAT WE DID
Upon speaking with the parent committee members, it was clear how much passion there was behind their support for the children and the welfare of the school. A number of options were discussed to meet their budget, and we went ahead with an organic shoot with voice-over. This allowed us to tell a compelling story about the school, whilst demonstrating the character of the educators and the student interaction in a genuine, natural way.
For the voiceover, Outathebox Productions provided a script template for this particular story which was filled out by the parent committee, which we then restructured and redrafted into the final working script. We chose a perfect morning for the shoot, and managed to complete the shoot within just a few hours. As this was a solo shoot, we were able to avoid attention and capture the children in their natural state.
The clients were thrilled with both the outcome as well as the support provided for them along the way. This example also demonstrates what can be achieved even on a modest budget.
