CASE STUDY – ASSET PLANT AND MACHINERY
ASSET PLANT AND MACHINERY
Asset Plant and Machinery is a distributor of metalworking machinery based in Melbourne, including the popular Steelmaster brand.
Asset Plant and Maintenance was working with digital marketers Miss Possible on a campaign to help increase sales. This campaign included paid advertising that would be deployed on platforms including Youtube, Facebook and Instagram. Therefore they needed to partner with videographer who could deliver two 30-second ads on time, within budget, and in 3 formats – widescreen, square and portrait.
The style of the ads would include dynamic visuals over a punchy professional voiceover.
WHAT WE DID
The agency provided me with branding material and graphics design, as well as an initial brief for the script with the key points they wanted to include in each ad. I then created both scripts to sound plain-spoken, and to fit comfortably within the 30s limit. We then sourced and agreed on a voiceover artist, and I helped to manage the recording process.
From there, I worked directly with the client. This included visiting the site a week before the shoot to get an idea of visual options, and providing the business with a list of ideas that they could prepare for.
This preparation meant that on the day, we were able to move quickly down the list, to capture a broad range visuals covering not only their range of products, but also images of collaboration and diversity within the business, and some aerials as well.
Everything was shot during one extended day of filming, and the initial drafts were delivered to the agency around 1 week from the completion of filming. Some adjustments were made to the visual style of the text, and a few adjustments were made to the copy, but otherwise no significant changes were needed.
As soon as the widescreen version was signed off, the square and portrait versions were delivered.
